The Lipno Lake area in Bohemian Forest, Czech Republic, is one of the most favourite destinations for domestic and overseas tourists looking for peace and relaxation in unspoiled nature. The Lipno Lake (area of 4.870 ha, 42 km long and 8 km the widest point) is a paradise for fishermen, surfers or yachtsmen. There are also daily cruises on sightseeing boats running through summer seasons. Many of the big and also hidden beaches are ideal laces to relax, swim or just sunbathe.
People looking for adventure may decide to go down the Vltava river on rafts or canoes.
In winter, the Lipno Lake and Horní Planá areas are skiing paradise, for both, downhill and cross-country skiing too. Visitors may take advantage of well maintained ski trails and slopes in Ski Resort Lipno - Kramolín or Hochficht in Austria. In winter, the Lipno lake is a favourite place for winter yachting, ice-skating or snow kiting.
